We would like to inform you that on Friday, September 9, the specialized bus of the State Blood Donor centre (SBDC) will visit the square near the Origo shopping center again from 10.00 to 14.00, inviting both regular and potential blood donors to donate blood.

In order to donate blood, you must have a valid identity document (passport or ID card) and a bank account number, as well as meet all the criteria for which more information can be found on the SBDC website. SBDC Director Egita Pole states: “Strict epidemiological requirements are observed in the care of donors and staff at SBDC’s permanent donation sites and visits. If you feel well, both Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 people can donate blood. ”

We remind you that every donor of blood and blood components receives moral satisfaction and receives:

• a certificate of blood test results (on request);

• snack set;

• compensation for the restoration of lost blood in the amount of 4.27 EUR. It is paid in the form of a non-cash transfer to the bank account specified by the donor;

• a certificate of blood donation, on the basis of which the employer grants paid leave;

• A donor privilege card if you donate blood three or more times a year (within 365 days). The card provides various discount options (information can be found here: https://www.vadc.lv/donoriem/privilegiju-karte).

Donors are encouraged to follow all national precautions and SBDC guidelines.
