The 29th International Baltic Ballet Festival traditionally opens with an opening concert in the atrium of the multifunctional shopping centre “Origo”, bringing together both local and internationally renowned ballet artists and offering the audience deep, worldly and passionate stories in the language of dance.

The motto of the International Baltic Ballet Festival is “From Classical to Avant-Garde”, so the opening concert in the multifunctional shopping centre “Origo” was attended by representatives of various ballet and dance genres, as well as the new Latvian choreographers and dancers. Bright, bold and classically elegant performances by dancers from the Riga Ballet School, the Contemporary Dance programme of the Latvian Academy of Culture, the Tālis Sils Ballet Academy, the dance studios “Virziens”, “Demo”, “Benefice”, “Buras” and “Dzirnas”. The Baltic Ballet Festival programme is expected to be very diverse, offering several concerts with performances by local and international artists, showcasing the diversity and charm of the dance world.

Customers can park for free for the first hour in the underground car park by presenting a receipt for that day’s purchase of any amount at the “Origo” Information Centre and receiving a free parking voucher in return.
